Life is Art.
I think everything in life is art. What you do. How you dress. The way you love someone, and how you talk. Your smile and your personality. What you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea. How you decorate your home. Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel. Life is art.

Food is my love language.
Growing up an Italian-American, as you can imagine family and food were always at the epicenter of our lives. I can’t be sure, but I credit this to my affection for food. Perhaps it’s the memories of conversations, laughter, feelings of love, trust, security and simpler times that it conjures up. I can remember the smell of sauce cooking as I awakened every Sunday morning. My hard working father finding such pleasure in making the sauce for his family on his only day off for the week. My beautiful mother seeming to effortlessly prepare dinner for us every night, while we sat at the kitchen table doing our homework. She served us dinner and love family style, while we shared stories of our day with no topic off limits. We talked about everything. Encouraged to respectfully speak our minds and share our experiences, we learned the importance of communication and finding our individual voices. We were safe and loved and so very happy. All over a home cooked meal.

Home.
The warmest memories of my childhood were made in a modest split level home in Billerica, MA. As a child, that home provided a sense of comfort and safety that made it seem larger than the commonly occupied lavish homes of today. It is where family and friends gathered to share meals, their stories and their love. I am honored to assist buyers in finding a home where they will make treasured memories. I know too well the importance of feeling “at home,” in your space, and recognize that can mean something very different for everyone. I pride myself in my ability to listen to each client’s individual wants and needs as we navigate their home search. Through personal experience, I am familiar with how hard it may be to leave those homes behind, and I am happy to be able to provide compassion and hold the trust of sellers at such important and emotional times.

Good for the soul.
Suzanne the gardener. Who would have believed it? I have always loved and appreciated a beautiful garden, but until I was living at my home in Amesbury I did not do any gardening at all. Our home is a corner lot and it felt as though our backyard was a fishbowl. I had a vision in my head of a beautiful enclave, a secret garden of sorts. One day 5 years ago, not long after we lost my dad, I needed something to occupy myself that didn’t require too much concentration. This was the time to make my dream a reality. I picked up a shovel one late April morning and to my husband’s surprise, I was still out digging in the dusk, when he returned from a long day of work. I was getting such satisfaction from the physicality of it all, as well as the progress I was making, and two weeks later I finished my first of many garden beds in our yard. I have grown to find peace in the early morning hours outside. The birds are singing, barely a car passes by, and there’s an indescribable sense of peace that can’t be found any other time of day. I love tending to my many garden beds. My yard is finally as I envisioned, made private by a row of Japanese holly layered with romantic Annabelle hydrangeas that make me smile all summer long. If you’re up early, stop by. I can be found having my first cup of coffee admiring the now 3 year old beauties.
I hope this blog inspires you to find the art around you and to make your life a beautiful reflection of your beautiful self.
